Adopt-a-family Now through December 21

In partnership with our local Garten Elementary School, and working with their Community Coordinator, Capitol Hill Christian Church is once again adopting a family to “lend a helping hand” for Christmas.
The family we are helping buy Christmas gifts for has five children. Please consider taking an ornament from the Adopt-a-Family tree in the Narthex and bringing the gifts by Sunday, December 21.
We are supplying a meal and gifts for their family Christmas celebration.
Please prayerfully consider supporting this ministry. Look for details in future Sunday Reminders emails. We will announce the needed items during worship service.

Opportunity . . . When you enter the sanctuary for worship, be sure to check out the glass container on the table. You are invited to drop your pocket change into the container. Once a month, the money will be counted and will go toward the air conditioner/furnace fund. Every little bit adds up and helps a lot! Thank you!

Nursery Room Remodel
The nursery room has been renovated with a fresh clean look! Thanks to the many volunteers who help update and improve the room with new carpet and paint. Childcare from Infant to four-years-old is available during church worship. The children love this new room!

Cemetery Lots for Sale
We have eight cemetery lots at “The Chapel Hill Garden Cemetery” located at 4400 Merle Hay Road, Des Moines. The lots are in the Apostle area in the Parklawn section. We are selling them for $1000 each. For further information, contact Jeff Kerns or Diana Collins.
